I got an upgrade CD in the mail from Adobe about 6 months ago, updating it to 5.0.1 because of "classic incompatabilites."

Here's what I'm seeing so far: Launch time 1.5 minutes! Show in browser... worked for about ten minutes, then quit. Now, it brings up whatever browser I specify, but without the file path-- just a blank window.

I quit and restarted classic, and rebuilt the desktop-- no difference. Other classic apps seem okay.

Crashed on me trying to move files to the trash, and after I force quit, the Dock became unresponsive. Had to quit the dock in Process Viewer in order for it to gain functionality again.

Anybody else having problems?

Yeah, go live does not play nice with classic. neither does dreamweaver ultradev 4. both have known bugs. I have a feeling that it is with the java manager in 9's duties being passes to X, but i could be wrong.

Well it's not surprising. Golive (while a good program) is the most unstable of all programs I've ever used. And it's one of the few I own. ironic really.

Once it's up and running in Classic I find it ok, but slow.
of course a season has passed whilst I'm waiting for the damned thing to open though,

X versions due before Xmas apparently, not soon enough, it's ridiculous because Pshop and Iluustrator run fantastically well in Classic

That's interesting - Golive is quite stable on my 8600/300, but I'm running 4.01 - perhaps you're running version 5. I guess I won't be upgrading my desktop machine prior to getting the native OS X version of Golive. I hope Adobe's Carbon software is of top quality: full Aqua compliance, MachO Carbon, Carbon Events model, etc. . .

when I tried 5 I had nothing but problems with it. 4.x and even old school 3.x were so much better...
