i'm using flash 5, and i have a web font designed for flash. it's extremely small and it renders crisp as non anti-alias text

the only "trick" is to make sure it's in exact whole numbers in the X, Y coordinates

Good: 40
Bad: 40.2

so i did that and some of the text is blurry for no apparent reason.

here's a link: <a href="http://www.jacktse.com/portfolio.html" target="_blank">Click on the button in the image and the text will appear</a>

any of you have text turn slightly blurry for no reason? anyone know of how i can get around this?

well, i want it as text so i can easily edit it...

i mean the text there is just for placement now.

i can easily make a gif but i just have no idea why the blurring is happening there...

if you look close, the blurriness occurs in two waves across the copy in horizontally

....really weird

<a href="http://atomicmedia.net/help.php" target="_blank">Here's</a> everything you need.

It actually does matter, if the coordinates for the text are from the center of the object or from the top left corner... Anyway, read the stuff from the link above and everything should work perfectly. Unless there's something wrong with the font, of course.

FWIW, I'm looking at it using IE5.1 on Flash 6.0r23 - I toggled between low and high quality and I couldn't see any difference in the bitmap type - it didn't looked blurred at all!
Computer thez nohhh...

<a href="http://www.miniml.com" target="_blank">www.miniml.com</a> > Fonts > Guide also explains very well how to work with vector-based pixelfonts in Flash.
