A great one that I stumbled upon a few days ago is CalendarScript by Matt Kruse. You can find it at http://www.calendarscript.com. Installation and configuring the calendar is very straightforward. If you have any problems or questions there is a strong base of users on the CalendarScript forums. One guy, TubaDave, is most helpful especially when it comes to creating plugins and customizing the calendar's appearance. Hope that helps...
Yeah, about those TPS reports, didn't you get the memo?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/webcalendar/

This rocks. With some experimenting you can set it up as an event calendar, a group calendar, a set of individual calendars, and probably some other stuff. You have to have PHP and MySQL running.

I agree. WebCalendar rules. I've used WebEvent (GARBAGE, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!), which is perl-based, and I've also built some simple calendaring systems in CDML and LDML (pre-Lasso 5).

WebCalendar beats the snot out of them all for ease of use, features, installation, and customization.

Actually, i think it's the late worm that gets eaten (as the worms are starting to turn in by the time the birds come out, hence the saying that it's the early bird who gets the worm.)
