I recently set up Apache and its httpd.conf file and got php and the like up and running, everything runs great locally, but only the computers at my house set up over a hub can connect to the actual 'http://—ip here—/'. The computers networked at my house do not share a single IP, either, but other computers receive this message:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.
What could be wrong? The server IS currently running, and I am 'Allow(ing) from All'. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry to ask a silly question, but you're not using a private network address like 192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x are you?
If you've got a connection through a router (like, for example, Airport), then you need to tell it to listen out for Port 80 requests and redirect them to the Mac you've got running as your server. Otherwise external requests will never get through.
Have you got any more info about your network setup?

i get this problem, i think it's trying to serve pages from 127.0.0.1 (the local loopback address of the machine your accessing from) instead of the proper address of your server; only happens when i access my user directory though (~derbs)
Guess what, i've not had time to look into fixing this (i dont use my server that often)- anyone got any ideas? Must be something in the httpd.conf file
