As a web developer I keep an eye on big sites to see how they are doing things.
I have just visited Ford UK's site and found it not to work on the Mac at all, nothing just a bit of non-functional nav at the bottem and nothing else (a blank white page), I have tryed IE under OS9, IE on OSX Omni Web & Mozilla non of them render the page at all. Can anyone fathom this out?
p.s. The Site works fine on my PC at work, and appers to be constructed of Flash Movies in a frameset, but this is no reason for it not to appear at all on the Mac. Pages rendering badly whith bits missing or out of place I can understand, but not at all that is something new.

Ick. What a mess. Hope those developers got a good rap on the knuckles - no meta tags, framesets 'til the cows come home... And it looks like the reason it don't work is that it uses the 'LiveConnect' feature - Javascript communicating with the Flash movie. Unfortunately, that doesn't work with IE on the Mac, but it does in Netscape 4.x on the mac.

I'm sure they could have worked out a much more compatible way of doing this... Oh well, they've lost their % market share of mac users.
Computer thez nohhh...
