Any suggestions on where to buy a domain name only?

Register.com and Verisign have them for $35/year but
Some of the cheap hosting places offer them for $12-15/year
But only if you buy their hosting.

I already have a hosting plan for one year on a current domain
name and want to get the new name and transfer it my host.

Any place where you have purchased just the domain name for $ 12-15/year?

Unfortunately dom't know any in the price range of 12 and 15 dollars as you want but I personally use powerpipe which gives you a domain for 8 dollars. Cheap and painless. Domains are pretty much one trick ponys so there isn't really any advantages to it over others, other than its price. So far I have had no problems with it. http://www.powerpipe.com/

I found http://w3.com for $15/year for a domain name.

They look pretty straight forward
