Does anyone out there know how to control the system volume programatically with AppleScript like the volume keys on the Apple Pro Keyboard (ie, with the nifty graphics and everything)? I see a command to set the volume, but it only appears to affect sounds generated by the script itself, which is not what I want.

Barring that, can anyone point me to the API for (essentially) programatically triggering the volume keys? It can be done; the MS and Logitech keyboard drivers do it. I did a few quick searches on ADC, but I haven't found anything useful yet.

Many thanks,

CyberDave
