I want a Word Processor that automatically adds a school heading.. For school, sometimes you have to add a heading with your name, date, teacher, period, and other information.

So, at the top you can set which teacher you are writing the thing for and it sets it at the top of the document. And you set the different styles in the preferences using a mini text editor to set how it should look with different variables (teacher, time , period,) which you also set in the preferences.

OH, and also you can have it ask you the title and add that to where the title you have set in the preferences is (sometimes in the center)

Like there would be codes for setting preferences. You would set teachers and what period you have them, or what semester, and when you choose them from the pop-up menu, the programs looks at your template style you have chosen in the preferences and set it according to it :

Like:
@Name
@Teacher,@Period
@Date

@Title

i mean, it would save me time because I could choose a name from the pop up menu and it would set the top of document according to the settings for styles.

Here are some screen shots (NOTE: The top of the document would be a tool bar and the preferences window would be a preferences window like System Preferences or OmniWeb):

It seems to me that it would be a lot more useful as basically just a service provider than a whole new app unto itself. That way you wouldn't need to concentrate on the actually-tangential task of making it a good text editor.

Hey! Do we have to write you all the apps you want?

Um, my question is why don't save a file and then always use it? Open in TextEdit and SAVE AS? I don't know, that's my first thought...

Explain me again what you want... I'm missing something [most likely]

Well, i mean, a lot of my teachers like the work in a certain format, so i would just want it so the program would fill in the stuff for me if i just select the teacher from a pop-up menu, i mean, i really wanted it, i could make it myself (applescript studio)...

and it not that I want,,, i just have a lot of ideas for programs and a not as much of a programming prowess
