Looks pretty cool, I would lose the default icons and spend time to create your own ones. Just make some mac styled ones, probably easy to do! Other than that, it looks swanky!

It takes a lot of time, but you can create entirely new templates for PHPBB pretty easily - you only need to know HTML. (You can even use Golive or something if desperate).

If you ever decided to do that, it'd make your site a bit more unique. It's still good how it is now (especially with the OS9 folders, etc). This is just a thought if you wanted to redo the whole layout to make it totally unique and different.

I did that for my forums at http://www.scifiminds.net/bboard (using the same software as you). I don't know how long it took but I'd estimate a week or two on and off.

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.
