what ftp progam to use w10.2.1 & earthlink

I tried fetch 4.0.2 and i get a couldn't connect error and with ftp wizard 3.0 i get a timeout error. I emailed earthlink and they just told me that they could get file and put file using my username and password... so I think there may be a conflict... anybody know anything about this or can recommend an ftp program?

or, use ftp://ftp.yourservername.com from the Go-->Connect to Server method in the Finder.

how come i didn't find out about this sooner... all i hear is fetch this fetch that... transmit works great...thx
