Im doing a project and I want the CD to launch the flash movie when the CD is inserted. Is there an Apple Script that can do this?

I think Apple removed AutoStart capability for CD-ROM discs in OSX, after the AutoStart worm proved that the security issues involved were more trouble than the feature was worth.

It's easy in windows just copy an autostart script but in OSX I don't know. I need to find out for sure so when I do I'll let you know and me the same.

There does not seem to be an equivalent to autostart for Mac OSX.
In Jaguar there is a 'CD&DVD' tool in the System Configuration Launcher, which lets you configure what happens when a CD or DVD is inserted. There is no 'Run' option, only 'Run a Script', and 'Run with an Application'.
Many of the new Mac games do not autolaunch the splash installer program until you navigate to the CD and click on them. e.g Warcraft III.
Another example would be an Enhanced CD singles or magazine cover disks which have autostart applications, yet they do not autostart under OSX.
I'm sure you could hook in to the 'Run a Script' feature (For CD's and DVD's) in OSX, but it would seem to be a system wide thing. e.g. execute this script when any CD is inserted. Which is not what is wanted.
From a UNIX standpoint I would say that autolaunch is probably a bad thing anyway. Instead you could make a cool icon for your demo or application, requiring the user to click on it. I understand that this lacks impact but there does not seem to be a simple answer.

Yeah, AFAIk it used to be available as part of Quicktime but isnt' anymore. For my clients, I simply create a small window, with no toolbar, a fancy background and a colourful 128x128 icon that says "Double Click to Start". Seems to work equally well.

thePurpleGiant,
I checked out your website. Was that an Amiga in the background of your room? Very cool.
I can tell from your index page you really love yourself.
Fun!

Actually it's just the monitor from an Amiga. A friend wanted to throw out the computer, I took it off his hands Great fun! i have now thrown out the computer, but the monitor has standard RCA inputs, so I have both by N64 and PowerBook plugged into it...bloody ripper!
Well my homepage wasn't so much a matter of vanity, but more that photography is my area more than creating graphics from scratch. So to create pictures for that many categories would be tedious, whereas that way was just fun!
