'Chicken of the VNC' is a GPL'ed Open Source project, hosted at http://cotvnc.sourceforge.net. If you've been looking for something to work on, it needs a website.

Some existing information can be found at http://www.geekspiff.com/software/cotvnc and on VersionTracker.

Some other open non-programmer tasks are:
  • Improved documentation
  • Localization
  • General administration

Oh, and if you don't know what VNC is, it's a protocol that lets you control a remote computer locally, somewhat similar to Remote Desktop, Timbuktu, or whatever Apple calls their version. But VNC is open-source, and client/servers exist for just about any operating system you can imagine.
Geekspiff - generating spiffdiddlee software since before you began paying attention.
