Anyone know how well it runs on a G4 800MHz? I'm trying to decide if I should get one... does Fireworks act pretty sluggishly, or not? I remember it not working the speediest in Classic on my iBook 500, but I think a native OS X app in 10.2 should be pretty speedy.

Thanks for the info

i think you'll be fine. I've not actually used fireworks, but i use dreamweaver, flash and freehand mx on my 800mhz quicksilver, and they run fine. (although not as well as in 9 )

i consider Fireworks to be the fastest and best MX app. it just fine on my old iMac 266. Dreamweaver runs like a slug in treacle, and Flash shouldn't have been released for another month or two, minimum

are we seeing any updates for these apps? nah. lame.

Agreed on that one. Dreamweaver is the slowest and buggiest. Fireworks is the fastest and most polished. And Flash I don't ever use.

heh, i don't either, if i can get away with not doing. i even had to uninstall MX and reinstall v.5 for a project i was doing. MX just isn't finished enough to be a final version, IMO.

you can see how much time they spent on each app, it clearly shows. Fireworks took ages to be released, because they spent time getting it right. one can only hope that they'll release some updates soon, now it looks like they know what they're doing

I think it breaks down to the particualr development teams in charge of each app. Fireworks is THE Cleanest of the MX apps, without a doubt. I have a G4/867 Quicksilver with 1.2GB RAM, and all of the MX apps run like butter....If I could only get a few extra hours in the day to devote to learning more ActionScript...Anyone got book suggestions?

i've been getting into flash big time. The more you learn, the more powerful it becomes. And it's damn powerful
