Hi there,

I am a long time VB programmer, yeah VB . Anyways I create frontend apps for SQL and VB seems to do the job well but the problem is I have been a long time Mac user and I really want to do some Mac programming now since OS X has been out. All the dev tools are readily available and finally Apple has a solid foundation for a programmer. So where do I start? Can I get started right away? Or I really need to study C and do a lot work before I can get started?

ANY COMMENTS IS APPRECIATED...THANKS.

Grab Apple's Currency Converter tutorial and run through it - if you've been doing VB apps already, you've got the "algorithmic mind" portion of coding already in place, so you should be able to cause some damage pretty quickly.

Searching Apple's dev pages for "currency converter" should dig it up.

Disclaimer - 'damage' is a modern colloquiallism for "well written code that serves a productive purpose."
Geekspiff - generating spiffdiddlee software since before you began paying attention.
