I'm running 10.2.2 OS X server on an Xserve. Apache 1.3 is installed and running by default. Apache 2 is on the Xserve but not installed/configured. How do I disable Apache 1.3 and get Apache 2 running? I'm new to Apache. I used to use WebSTAR. Thanks!

Is there a specific reason you want to go Apache 2? If you're new to webserving I wouldn't recommend it. It's new and somewhat buggy, and difficult to configure if you don't know what you're doing. Leaving the default install would be much easier, unless you require Apache 2. Here's a site that will walk you through Apache 2 and PHP 4.2 (optional):

I would stick with 1.3 unless you know why you want to upgrade. Learn how to use Apache first and then switch...

stick with 1.3
there is no compelling reason to switch (note i didn't say upgrade) to apache 2. yet.
