Hi, I'm thinking of installing OS X Server on my machine, because I'm interested in setting up a small website that includes a bulletin board (requires MySQL, PHP).

However, can this be done on the regular OS X, and if not, is there anything I can't do in Mac OS X Server that I could previously do in regular Mac OS X?

I think OSX Client and Server are identical except for the fact that you have a GUI for certain function in OSX Server. These functions should be there with OSX Client but only with the command line.

Yes it can be done on OS X Client. I know there's differences between Server and Client. I am running Apache, PHP4, and MySQL on my client version right now.
