Ok, I've tried doing this and I'm just an idoit. I have movies on my web site (for my band) and I want them to start playing as they are downloading, not when they are done downloading.

I've tried just typing in <"embed></embed"> but that simply messes up the layout. (without the " of course)

you can see what I mean HERE

I'm using Dreamweaver for X and am NOT a web developer but I am willing to learn

Any help for the ignorant?

there's some code you might want to look at, here. that's for a band i'm working for, at the moment.

also, as an aside, may i suggest you lose the spaces in your filenames? always looks a bit amateur, to me, to see things%20like%20this%20in%20a%20url

ok so do I need quicktime loaded ON the site itself? It gave me an error and shows me a broken QT image.

The Movie dosent have to play ON the page but I love how it just starts playing on your site.

So the way I have the page set up, 3 diffrent videos with 2 versions each (low and high Q) how would you set it up?

Maybe I'm close now

thanks man!!!

just make sure you're embedding the right url. check it plays in your browser first, and you should be fine

you may as well embed it like that. looks much better than the browser just loading it in a blank page. you can have all your site colours, gfx, etc

you could just have the links like you have them now, but link to the 56k/broadband pages, instead of the actual movies. should work okay, try it out
