Hey gang -

Exploring the Apple developer code samples, I've sumbled across the "Cocoa - SGDataProc" and "HackTV - Carbon" samples.

I've been trying to combine the two, as HackTV doesn't seem to want to compile under PB but has the recording capabilities I'm looking for. "Cocoa - SGDataProc" just has the viewing capabilities from the FW camera.

Has anyone experimented getting a true video/audio capture to work in "Cocoa - SGDataProc"? Right now, I can save a file, but nothing is actually written to the QT file. I know I'm close.

Anyone familiar with doing something like this?

Thanks!

Yeah, but Apple hasn't released the source code to it. I'm looking to build my own app, so I need the source code for the capturing capabilities.

What about a webcam type app? Evocam saves to a quicktime movie, but it doesn't run all the time, the lowest you can get is a 1 second lapse between frames, but there may be one out there with that function, perhaps BVT Pro? Or am I going in the wrong direction?

I'll go with anything as long as I can see how it's done; i.e. I need to see the source code. I know the BTV source isn't available.
