Hi, I want to use the code that Slasdot uses for their website as a front end for my message board at Slaveway.com
Anyone on these boards familar with the code?
Would it be possible to test it out by installing it on one of my G4's?
From looking at the read me files I would also need MySQL also.
Any helpful hints/ links would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know of an 'Idiots guide' type of book for this endeavor?

O'Reilly has a book about Slash. It's not necessarily "for dummies" material, but it should get you through an installation.
