AND so it is! I've had this ordered on Amazon since last November... And wow, yep, it shipped out to me last Friday. Hasn't arrived yet, I'll let you know what I think about it when it arrives.

I'd like to hear more about this book. I've bought a couple of the first Cocoa books, but often find they are a little (alot) over my head.
Please write back with a review if you have the time.

The book arrived, and I've started to go through it. At a first glance it looks like it is probably one of the best books out there for beginner programmers. And when I say beginner, I'm talking about those who are starting out or are slightly above ground zero. This is NOT a book for experienced programmers and does not pretend to be. It's for people who have not had much exposure to programming. I'll post a better review later...

I just went out and purchased this book at Barnes and Noble for $29.99.
Maybe I'll start reading it now... seems real basic (first you start with a basic app, then it explains in somewhat great detail Project Builder and Interface Builder in their own chapters, and then goes on to interesting topics like Multimedia and building a simple movie player).

Have you tried Aaron Hillegass' "Cocoa Programming for Mac OSX"? If you are at any level above "zero" in the programming world, you may want to consider this book. Of all the books that I've read on Cocoa, I believe this is the best step-by-step and how-come book out there. He references programming issues to Java and other programming languages to try to explain to experienced programmers what is going on.
I found all of the other books to be good references, but Aaron's book was the best for current programmers who know nothing of Cocoa and objective-c. It does sound like "Cocoa Programming for Dummies" would be for beginner programmers, which may be more your level (sorry--you do not mention what programming experience you have). So it sounds like it has its place as well.
Hope this helps.
