Anyone know if JBuilder 8 works now that JDK 1.4.1 is out? I don't wanna play around with my JBuilder 7/1.3 setup since it works fine and I use it as my main development box.

I'd like to know this as well. 1.4.1 killed my JBuilder 6 Pro, but I figured it would. I miss using JBuilder on the Mac more than I thought I would. Did you try contacting Borland? I'll probably try tomorrow, unless you find something out.

Any way to run JBuilder 7 in the old 1.3.1 environment? I didn't even think about this when I installed 1.4.1.... and now I'm sad

From Apple:

Well, I got the response:
from Borland:
Thank you for sending us your message.
JBuilder 8 does not officially support Mac OS X.
JBuilder 7 does support OS X and there is a work around made available by
Apple on their web site which allows the JDK 1.4.1 support.
Best Regards
Borland Customer Service
Very unfortunate indeed.

hmm, well i guess it's cause they released jbuilder 8 before jdk 1.4.1 came out for the mac. maybe it'll be addressed in a future point upgrade.
i'm gonna try this weekend anyway. will have to install os x to an external firewire drive, but i really wanna check out jbuilder 8.
