In netscape 4, if you add color, or a background image to a cell, but the cell is empty, the cell will be clear. The color or background image won't be applied. Is there an easy way to bypass this with some sort of invisible character that won't effect anything else? Normally I'd just say screw those people, but actually alot of people that visit my site are going to be using Classic MacOS, which means ALOT of old netscape hits.

A non-breaking space, written as &.nbsp; in HTML syntax, is usually used for this purpose. (Remove the dot after the ampersand)

If the column is to be used as a spacer. place a single pixel gif as a spacer. I ran into this with some formatting where the non-breaking space was just too large for the column size I wanted.
