Sorry about all the questions, but, Im wondering how, when a user clicks on an image, it can change image, to say one with a different color.

You don't provide nearly enough information. For example, I don't even know what language you're using. It sounds to me like what you want is to subclass NSImageView and override mouseUp:, but that's assuming you're using Cocoa/ObjC.
