I set aside this weekend to evaluate the available options for Cocoa database apps. I managed to get postgres working with some fiddling.... mysql also performed satisfactorily. I am in need of a readly available OS X database platform , and with Apple dropping EOF I feel like I've been left out in the cold..What are you all doing or database access??????????

I'm using OpenBase's Obj-C API directly at the moment, but I'm thinking about moving to Java/JDBC because the lack of a useful solution is annoying me. There is also the easyDB framework which is non-free and is an obj-c wrapper around JDBC using the Java bridge.

Well, after much beating on the keyboard I settled on PostgreSQL. I've created my own lighweight wrapper around the Postgres C API and it seems to be working great.
