Hi everyone! I'm doing a survey on the reactions of different people in different areas of web/print/software development in terms of their value on design as a general marketing tool (i.e. how much does a good or service require form as well as function?).

Please give me a simple answer from the choices above, and I would greatly appreciate any additional comments you may have regarding this.

As a web designer myself, I find myself often times judging a company based on its web presense. If its a crappy looking site, I'll look for another company with a similar product that has a more professional presense.

I think it depends on what you are looking for...if design is a concern, then yes. Design is not always a concern. though...sometimes function is way more important. As a general marketing tool (or brochure), good design is expected, but won't neccessarily gain you points. Bad design will kill, though.
