I am learning html and building a home page. i am using a quicktime slide show to display a photography project.

the .mov is embedded inside a table (to fine tune its position on page)

the page works fine in Internet Explorer for Mac, but whenever I try and run it in Safari - I just get the background colour all over and don't see the movie running. Can anyone explain why Safari is doing this?

Also - is there any way to make the images in the quicktime movie keep repeating, until the soundtrack finishes?

Cheers for any advice.

1. post code code, or provide a link, so we can see if there's an obvious mistake

2. make the video layer the same length as the audio layer

The html for the movie follows:

<html>
<body bgcolor="black">
<table width="100%" height="100%" border =0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
<tr bgcolor="black">
<td align="center" valign="middle">
<embed src="num1.mov" height="75% width="75%><br><br><br><br><br>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</body>
</html>

This plays nicely when opened in IE. Safari gives a black screen though.

Re: the audio/video layer. I am a complete beginner (3 days into Html) - not quite sure waht you mean. I made the .mov slideshow using a kind of wizard in iphoto. making it manually in imovie, slide by slide i can cut some of the audio and fade it out.

this would be acceptable were it not for the fact that the image quality doing it this way is poorer and the file size much greater than making the movie automatically through iphoto. i am confused.
