It's not on Borland's site that I can find and VersionTracker has a page for it but it's messed up (at least for me).

I need JB7 PE for OSX. Anyone know where I can find it?

This is a totally uninformed opinion, but I think they may have taken down the Mac version of 7 because it won't run if you have java 1.4.1 installed (well, without some trickery). Maybe they'll release JBuilder 8 for OS X soon? Anyone know?

They apparently don't sell JBuilder for OSX anymore.

I'd suggest Eclipse as a free alternative. We have JBuilder 6 Enterprise at work, but I use Eclipse instead since I like it better.

Can you point me to the Eclipse OSX download?

Will it handle a JBuilder project file, by any chance?

http://www.eclipse.org

I just tried it out - there's no UI builder, which is a bit disappointing. Netbeans <http://www.netbeans.org> has a UI builder but the environment seems slower than Eclipse.

I'm going to stick with Netbeans for now.

It is possible to install and run JBuilder 8 on MacOS X if you have java 1.4.1 installed. Just check the borland.public.jbuilder.macintosh newsgroup postings.

(Or this newsgroup archive)

Hope this helps!

Could someone point me to a place where I can find this shell script for JBuilder 8? It doesn't seem to be available in that newsgroup archive link, and my ISP doesn't host this newsgroup TIA

Edit: n/m, found it here.
