It seems my knowledge of Dreamweaver leaks out at night or something, because its always the same things I can't remember!!
Anyhoo--I am trying to build my site and would like to have a "bar" (really an image) stretch all the way across the page, regardless of whatever size the viewer's browser is (no scrolling). I've made a table, set it to autostretch and made the table width 100%, yet it still won't work! I know there some small thing I am missing, but I can't remember.

If you need a visual, here is a gif of the proposed layout--it's the yellow "bar" at the top.

Thanks!!

putting an asterisk in the width tags should allow it to stretch.

But for table cells some browsers need to have something between the table cell tags to get it to display properly. Try putting in one non-breaking space for each cell in your table.

I'd also suggest trying to use CSS for your formatting. Its a much more elegant way and usually produces less code. Although it may not work well in OLDER browsers, it at least degrades fairly well to something legible.

Good luck.
