I'd like to know if its possible to do this:

I want to do this all with an app or applescript:

.Sit up
Make file name based on date and other factors
Upload to a server

Any ideas?

You can add AppleScript or shell script build phases to your project in PB. BTW, why are you using a proprietary format for distributing your application? Consider using disk images instead.

The .sit is not for the public.

It is for developing parties. .Sit is easier for quickly making archives. And you don't get the disk image mess. I will though use DMG for the final app.

Pfft, I'd just use a gzipped tar myself.
