My advice:
Do not play Quake 3 or the like on the G4 towers they have set up for more time than you spend in sessions.
It will help to go with someone you know. I'm sure there's some people here or on applestudentdevelopers.org (if you're a student) or th elike who you can hook up with.
I only wish I could go this year I won one of the student scholarship for WWDC, but I have a work conflict that wouldn't have existed before they moved the date and I'm out of cash for a hotel and such. Oh well... I'll just have to hear everything second hand again this year.

I just signed on as a student ADC Member in November 2002. This is my first Mac (switched from Windows). I am a CS student at the state university (half way through, not switching majors now). I really want to start developing for the Mac. I have already started learning cocoa and Obj-C and really like it. I have built some simple apps and have gotten through half of the Obj-C/Cocoa Book by O'Reilly (just got it about a week ago).
I am wondering, how do you apply/obtain one of these scholarships? I looked around the Apple Student ADC site but did not see anything about scholarhips.
I would give just about anything for an opportunity like this.
Thanks,
Chris

I'm afraid you're far, far too late. The deadline for applications was months ago. Check around after WWDC 2004 is announced.

Do you subscribe to Apple's StudentDev mailing list? If not, go to Apple's Mailing List site. The announcement was made here I think, at least there were many messages about it.
The original deadline was end of February. When WWDC was rescheduled, the application period was extended.
Too bad you missed it... There's a new opportunity next year, so good luck then!
I'll be arriving in SF on Thursday...

I know, but I was thinking of next year.
Thanks,
