I did a quick revision on a portfolio/project site for the architecture firm that I intern at. basically, I included a scrollable iframe on the left side of the page, so you can browse all the projects they have, then load them. I set it so when you load, say, the HouseA project page, it also tells the iframe to scroll down to the HouseA listing, thus allowing you to jump to the next project without scrolling all the way to it again. The page that loads in the iframe has anchor points and seems to work fine. Except in Safari, it doesn't automatically make the iframe jump to the point I want. I'm definitely going to send in a bug report to Apple about it, but I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions, or is it even worth worrying about the Safari users on such a minor problem.

Hopefully, all that makes sense when you look here:

try it in IE and SF ( ) to see what I mean if you have a chance.

[edit] I made it sound a bit harsh to SF users... on the contrary, I am a die-hard Safari fan and it's my primary browser, hence the reason I'm worried about this script working well.

on camino (mozilla based) the iframe does not have a scroll bar. the only way i can scroll down is to select text and move my cursor. Although I don't see another way to select different houses besides that iFrame it does jump so that whatever property I select is at the top.

(can't help with safari)

there isn't supposed to be a scrollbar in the iframe, there are two dark gray arrows that you use to scroll up and down, just move your mouse over them, unless you don't see those images.

however, if that's the case, maybe i should make it more clear those are nav buttons...

ah, they work about half the time (not sure if it is my browser or what) sometimes when i move my mouse over the button it will scroll, other times it won't (often when i move my mouse away from one of the arrows the iframe continues to scroll)

if you can find a way to work with a scroll bar in that iFrame it will probably make your site compatible with more browsers

I think that house actually was sold by the owner a few months ago, something like $6 million.
