Hi, I've always found that preloading images doesn't seem to work as well as having those images always present ... either in a frame set to a width of 0 or have the images scaled to 1x1 and stuck out of the way.

Can anyone confirm that preloading with Javascript doesn't seem to cache the images as well as having them always present?

Does preloading have to be done on everypage? or can it be done once to be cached?

afik, preload doesn't cache the images, and has to be run on each page...
