I posted this is the wrong place and am instructed to post here.
I've gone round w/the administrator and webmaster of a message board I frequent and they say its me, I say it's them.
(I'm an artist, not a computer person)

well, it's hard to tell you from that (could we get a link to the site?) but my guess is there is some bad java applet that is crashing the browser, again if we could see the source (the .java file) that would be great.

well, from that error i would guess it is the fading banner on the top of the page.
you might think about an animated gif instead of the java, the image could be made to be about the same size.
alternately you could use javascript to put those images in a cycle, look for banner ad rotators.

I thank you all very much for your help and input. I have forwarded the information to the host of the board, and will let them know of anything else anyone might have to say. I do get rather tired of being told to get a pc.
