Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to create a disk image with a background image to it.

I can't seem to figure out what I need to make the background image stick.

I've read that all you need to do is place a copy of the background image in a hidden folder
and set the view options to use the image.

I tried this but for some reason, the image doesn't stick or stay.

If anyone has a straight forward readme on how to do this, I would appreciate it

I am currently using disk copy to create my disk images...

Thanks....

The easiest solution I've found is to use FileStorm.

Steps to give a disk image a background:

1. Navigate to the folder you want to make a disk image of.
2. Get the Finders view options for that window
3. Set a background image for the window
4. Use diskcopy to create a disk image of the folder.

Note, if this doesn't work, it is because the finder is not placing the background image in the hidden folder that it is supposed to. You might have to create this folder manually.

Thanks for all the information....

I tried the step by step tutorial and worked great.

Now if only I was well versed in designing cool background images I would be completely set....

Thanks again...
