Use applescript on Canon scanner to scan document for fax?

	I'm in the same boat as a few others, im sure: there is no button manager for OS X which is the little bit of software that makes the button on my CanoScan N656u scanner work. What was nice is that i could press it and it would scan something quickly. Could an applescript activate the plugin and scan a document in a pre-specified manner (ie. bitmap @ 150dpi)? I don't care about the button, but i would like to find a way to replicate its action through applescript. Thanks!
