Anyone got a bead on this? I hear that it is a really useful new feature in Panther Cocoa, but Apple's docs don't provide much enlightenment. My understanding is that it can be used to simplify table views and the like.

How do you get at these controller objects programatically? I can't seem to create files from the instantiated objects in IB, so they don't show up in Xcode. These things seem really cool, but it would be nice to have some more detailed info/examples on how to use them.

You double-click the instance in IB, then right-click the class in that column view hierarchy to get the "Create files" popup menu.

That's how it has always worked with every other class, but I can't get the Create files menu to come up. It is dimmed out. Maybe I'm just doing something stupid....
