Expose and apple-tab make the original mx so much easier to use, it doesn't matter if its cluttered, you can swap around pages to your hearts content and have easy access to the site window.
Also apple-tab means that when you slect MX it pops up over all other apps, no more pages hiding in the background.
And it hasn't crashed once!

yeah expose definately makes it better. When I switched over from my PC, I was dissapointed to see that Dreamweaver MX for Mac did not offer the option of tabbed files (all files in one window in different tab, kinda like tabbed web browsers)... Expose definately helps out here; but I'd still like to see Macromedia give the mac users the same tabbed layout option PC users have.

But wouldn't that require Macromedia to pay for a few more programmer hours?
Don't see how they could possibly do that.

Just tried the Dreamweaver MX 2004 demo (on Panther)... Don't think I'll be upgrading. Haveing more than 4 files open at once makes it slow down incredibly. Expose stops working on it (you chose the file window you want, but it always takes you back to the file you were at before). It is really quite sad. Made me feel like I was back on a Pentium2 or 3 CPU. But I'm not, I'm on a 1Ghz G4.
Trying out the BBEdit demo now which doesn't slow down a bit with 12 files open. The syntax coloring for PHP is not as good though, and it doesn't have php function hints like dreamweaver mx does though.... but I can't be limited to only 4 files open at once.

Yes, MM really seems to be trying to pass off shoddy work on Mac buyers.
Unfortunately we only get to vote with our credit cards (asleep in the wallet)... until they give us an upgrade worth awakening for.

Haha. See you there
I wonder if they'll give me an answer as to why flash freezes when you choose 'list all variables' in the output window...
****ing bloatware. Flash 5 and Flash MX were lean and mean. They loaded from cold in less than 5 seconds. MX2004 takes about 4 times as long as freezes all the ****ing time.
Serves me right for upgrading in the middle of a big flash project i guess

Finally got Panther in the mail today and installed MX 2004. Expose works fine with multiple windows here. Load time is probably the same as my P4 2.53ghz PC, maybe slightly quicker. If you want to speed it up a bit, just follow the tips from Macromedia. You can close the application panel and turn off the start page to make startup times faster. With multiple windows open, you should try turning off document toolbar, that seemed to help a lot for me (just gets rid of the code view, design view buttons on each document window).
