I am in the process of learning to program in xcode and I am following the Aaron Hillegas book. Of course it references Project Builder and not xcode. In the book it says to to set extension and icon for the file type you choose "Edit Active Taget" in the "Project" menu. Under "Application Settings" tab choose "Simple"...

Can someone point out where the equivilant for this is in Xcode? Thanks.

In the left column of Xcode, labeled "Groups & Files", you'll see a red bulls-eye with the word "Targets" next to it. Click on the disclosure arrow (the gray triangle) so you should see your target's name below it. Select it (click on it) and go to Project -> Get Info. It's in the 'Properties' tab.

Hope that helps!
