I've activated and have been using the PHP that came with 10.3, but I want to generate some graphics. It seems that GD is not installed in 10.3

If need be, I will try to do a re-install of PHP with GD, but I'd much prefer a simpler, less intrusive way to get GD into my PHP system.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

you have to install GD lib and then re-configure PHP with GD lib. Since the PHP compile )not sure if that is the correct word) is not on the system, you'd have to download the source, do a ./configure with all the options you want, including GD, make, sudo make install.

OR

you can get a nice package installer of PHP 4.3.4 from:
http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/php/

it will also install and configure PHP with many packages including GD lib... Very easy to do, download the dmg image file, mount and install and you've got an up-to-date PHP with some nice addons (GDlib, cURL, etc). Doesn't get much less intrusive or less complicated than that.

Thanks very much

I downloaded the entropy package, installed it, then modified the .conf to work with my project files. Now I'm able to use GD commands :-)

You were right. It was much less intrusive than I thought it would be. Thanks again.
