Yep, I had the misfortune to inherit a couple of jobs and found out that Lasso is the biggest piece of junk for web development bar none. It's the Quark of the web design world. Stay away from it.
it's overpriced.
It's overly difficult to set up your database connectors.
The language is nowhere near as portable and efficient as PHP or ASP or Perl
Did I mention it was overpriced?
It's dog slow.
It's clumsy to debug (despite what Blueworld would have you believe) ... oooh look! Database update error! Now THAT's helpful. WHAT SORT OF ERROR??@?@
...and so forth...
I'm not aware of any PHP-to-Filemaker connectors but I'm sure someone's tried simply out of desperation and frustration.
Stay away from it. You've been warned!
