Hi guys, i'm writing up a manual on an application we are proposing to create. Could anyone recommend a good diagram modelling tool, thats simple to use and that will alow me to import diagrams and network model diagrams into a Word doc.
Im not very good at creating my own pictures , icons etc.... and the stuff that comes in clipart looks kinda dodgy to me. I want clipart that is more professional looking and better tailored to networking. Any suggestions??? What do you guys use to draw your network diagrams???

OmniGraffe is definitely the way to go. Very easy, and it can export to a whole number of formats (PNG being the one I would recommend for this purpose). The pro version is even more flexible. And you can get day-long trial licenses from Omni's web site, plus if you have bought any apple pro-level hardware recently you probably already have a license.

You can also try ConceptDraw. I have been using OmniGraffe for school but Visio feels a little bit faster and has more stencils (shapes).
