I'm looking for documentation that shows how to integrate Xcode with CVS -for those with little CVS experience. For example,

1. Creating the repository
2. Creating the sandbox
3. Pointing Xcode to the sandbox
5. Checking and checking out files
6. Updating the sandbox

This is basic stuff, I wonder if there's something like that out there -with a MacOSX and Xcode flavor.

Thanks!

You should have some documentation on your system at /Developer/Documentation/DeveloperTools/cvs/cvs_toc.html.

The XCode integration is pretty simple really... You just check out files by hand the first time, add them to your project, and it should handle the integration for you from then on. Just use SCM commands from within XCode.

Thanks, that was very helpful information. I tried it and it does work as you said.

At this point it seems rather awkward i.e., Xcode talks to CVS and also talks to FileMerge. I feel like I'm running one of those Office macros that hop between Excel and Word etc. They work but somehow it doesn't feel very solid... You always wonder "did that last thing really work?" Alas, perhaps it's just me. It's only been a few hours of use.
