I've made two very simple programs, but I have a problem with each one of them:

1) functions doesn't get invoced although I'm sure I connected them properly in IB

2) the variables are reset when draw rect is invoked
So I need your help, because it's driving me nuts!

Ok, I forgot to mention that it was in cocoa. The reason that I didn't post the code was that it was too long, and it wouldn't tell if I had made mistakes in IB, which was the case.

I had been instansiating my customViews and drawing connections to it instead of the view itself, which was causing the errors. So afterall it was the connections in IB that were screwed up.
