I think that would get kind of annoying after not very long. Good idea, though... I guess

I don't see what all the fuss is about - there's much more eye-candy-bandwidth-wasting-skip-friggin-intro flash around these days than there is blinking text.

I didn't mind the underline rollover animation - at least novice users would get the point and it wouldn't get in the way of you simply reading the page.

I actually found the other article about custom 404 pages REALLY interesting, which just proves that I need to spend some more time with my wife and see some more live music...
Computer thez nohhh...

The blink tag, great idea! I just hacked something together (by hack I mean hack...)... Adjustable blinking link rollovers.

though the animated underline is kind of annoying, I'll agree with you on that, I can see some potentially useful applications for a custom underline.

When I first went there it didn't work but that was day I update to safari but not soon enough.

Glad to see safari 1.2 works.

One of my favourite CSS tricks is using
Code:
font: 11px/20px verdana;
for example, so there's no need to include line-height: 20px...

Just saves a wee bit of time I suppose.

I would not call that a trick
but it does save time and a wee bit of file space.

1 of my new faves is using webfonts over a button.gif which is set as background-image (either of the a tag, or the table cell), instead of writing on the button. Then you can change it on hover, without bothering with javascript to create mouseovers.
I saw a woman with a sweatshirt that said "Guess", so I said, "Implants?"
