Does anyone know of anyone doing anything like this...

iPhoto, iTunes, xCode all have that Smart List feature that is so damn cool.... Why dont they have that for Mail.app? If you have seen or used Gnomes Evolution, you know what Im talking about.. the Virtual Folders. You basically define a rule or rules for a specific folder that folder will list out all of the mail that meets that criteria...

Someone has to have does this! Why hasnt apple!

You can define rules in mail.app, look in preferences. Just have them move messages into the folder you specify.

I understand that rules can be made, I use them religiously. but it would be nice to have the true virtual folder effect that eveolution has. So instead of moving messages, it basically links to it... so I could have a folder of Work, which all work emails would be listed under, but then I could have a folder called Marketing , which would list all of marketing emails even though marketing is a child of Work... see what I mean?
