I had tried the trial version before I bought it, and I was dismayed with its slow speed. However, having trust in the usually innovative and impressive Macromedia, I thought maybe a different, better version would came in retail the box... maybe the trial version was "phoning home" too often or something.

Well, Dreamweaver is still dog slow. I'm quite happy with Flash MX (at least, compared to Dreamweaver!), and Fireworks is okay... I haven't even opened up Freehand yet.

Is there any way we can get Macromedia to... I don't know... offer a refund or something? This software is really, really bad. Heck, more than refund, I'd just like a program that did these things well, without the seemingly invisible bloat in the background. What an awful port to Mac!

I heard that Macromedia outsourced the work for porting DW to Mac to some other company... is that true?

Is there... I don't know... a petition to sign? Any suggested course of action to make the software run better? I'm on an iMac 800 G4, so it should run fairly quick, especially when it's the only program running!
