I am trying to find where to download on Apple's site, the part of Darwin that is the power management unit (ApplePMU). Any ideas?

Thanks!

I am trying to change where 10.3 shuts down the computer or 4-5 min if still awake but lid is closed. Happen to know where that is in the code?

Thanks!

That doesn't happen on my machines. What do you have for settings in your Energy Saver System Preference?

Have you tried resetting your PMU? Is your backup battery bad? Have you left your machine plugged up long enough to charge the backup battery? (24+ hours)

No, no - I am trying to use Nosleep, or Sleepless to prevent the powerbook from going to sleep with lid closed (yes, I know the dangers).

However, in 10.3, Apple programmed the ApplePMU.kext extension to shutdown the computer after about 4-5 min if it's still on with lid closed.

However, Since posting this msg, I found apple stopped open sourcing that particular extension, probably for that reason.

Oh well.
