Hello everybody,
I'm new in programming on Mac OS X. I want to write a Java applet using the Cocoa framework. Does anybody know wether it is possible and how does it work? Or is the only way I can run my applet by using the Java AWT or SWING package?

I don't believe you can't use Cocoa. The Cocoa-Java bridge allows you to call native Cocoa methods from Java, and vice versa. It doesn't let you build applets. Also, any apps that use the bridge will be MacOS X only. I'm not sure of any good reason to use applets (abominations of the Java language IMHO), but the examples where I have seen them were for cross-platform web applications, and Cocoa won't work in that environment.
