Apologies for dupe thread
Can anybody take a look at this page and the CSS-file and tell me why #$!"#ing Internet Explorer (for Windows) ignores the input and textarea-elements when calculating div-heights? Also, what the hell is it doing to the submit-button ("Send inn") and the element around it? Should I just capitulate and do a damn table instead?
I HATE INTERNET EXPLORER!

On one of the sites I came across, http://localhost/~max/Beispiele/layout1.html, there is a hack for IE explained. I lack a pc, so I don't know if it will work (but let me say: I got the exact same problem, the css version of my site that I have completed works beautifully in Mozilla and Safari, but guess which browser can't handle it at all ...

Localhost?
IE has some odd bugs that I just can't get my head around. Believe me, I've tried a million tricks and css-variations to get IE to even display the bottom portion different.
I've capitulated and defined the form without alternate backgrounds and a sort-off working button-area. If they are stupid enough to stick with the worst browser in existence, then they probably don't care if the button looks a bit odd.

Yup
It was the two column design by bluerobots.com. They have some comments in their css file how to supply IE with "corrected" width and height values as it just accepts the first one.
I currently have the choice not to use CSS or just accept that IE can't to it. I don't feel like fiddling with my CSS file just to correct IE's bugs. Especially since I don't have a PC.

I saw a woman with a sweatshirt that said "Guess", so I said, "Implants?"
