MacNN needs some help with small (and some large) projects--all of which need to be finished rather quickly. Please drop me an email with a resume (or a listing of compelling projects/experience) and a note. Some projects will be paid. More reliability == more pay. I'm looking for 2-3 reliable people to take on projects as they can. Thanks.

best,
monish

I use PHP and MySQL on my home site, http://www.genevish.org/ and was a web developer for Kinko's for 4 years, also using PHP and MySQL. They're still using the Career Search tool I created: http://careers.kinkos.com/PHP/queryform_pub.php3

I'd love to help out however I can...

I'm interested in helping out. I worked as lead programmer for surveyshare, an online survey tool with a nice featureset, it can be found at http://www.surveyshare.com. I also worked as a web developer for the IU Alumni Association and that can be found at http://alumni.indiana.edu. And finally, my personal web site can be found at http://www.bendalton.com.

Let me know!

Ben

forgot to add my email,

I designed this message board software entirely in PHP, and it makes use of the ImageMagick and GD libraries, as well as using some efficient unix/linux commands. The software is portable, able to run on nearly any Linux/Unix/OS X.

Several web sites of mine also make heavy use of PHP (email me for more examples) for hit tracking, on-the-fly image processing (I have a gallery script that generates thumbnails real-time) and template serving, which saves me on page design time.

I believe I have a very good grasp of PHP, and I use it to its fullest potential.

monish,

I'd like to help out.

I've been a web developer using server-side scripting for over seven years. I recently built a shopping cart using PHP/MySQL and just finished a small Perl project.

Among others I've developed these sites from scratch on my own:
<http://www.energyideas.org>
<http://www.energy.wsu.edu>

Thanks!

Wow, guys thanks for the responses! We have quite a community and I am overhwhelmed by the offers and number of responses. I am creating a short forum to help organize some my questions I have for each of you. Of course that takes some PHP experience, so I'm struggling a bit, but I should have it ready by tomorrow morning. Thanks.

Be sure to include something about knowledge of the standards. Looking at some of the example pages, there are pages with 200+, 450+ and 500+ errors on what are essentially simple pages. There's really no excuse for stuff like this because HTML 4.0.1 hasn't changed since the 90's and there are plenty of validators out there.

Fortunately, there were some pages that actually used the latest XHTML standard, and one that even had the W3C's "approval" stamps on it.
